Created in 2001, Carol Hartzog Communications is a first-class company, made up of first-class people.

We are primarily trained as journalists, but also team with top-notch public relations specialists to bring a different perspective to our work.
 
Carol Hartzog
Owner/Principal

Carol Hartzog has been owner/principal of Carol Hartzog Communications in Edmond, Okla., since its creation in 2001. Prior to that, she was a news journalist with 25 years of experience in the Oklahoma and Texas markets. Most recently she was the managing editor of The Edmond Sun and led the paper to six sweepstakes wins during her tenure. 

Carol is active in the community, She has served as a board member of Edmond Rotary Club and has been a member since 1988, shortly after women were first allowed in the international service group. She has been a "Rotary Reader" since 2003 with low-income first-graders. She has been active in Edmond's Women in Leadership since its inception in 1991, is an elder at First Presbyterian Church in Edmond, and is an active Sunday School teacher. In 2007 she was appointed by Edmond's Mayor to, and continues to serve on, the Edmond Capital Improvements Task Force. She holds a bachelor of arts degree, Cum Laude, in communications from Texas A&M University.

Gail Carr
Team

Gail Carr has been owner/principal of Genesis Design, LLC, a full-service graphic design and marketing firm in Edmond, Oklahoma, since 1991. She previously managed the Creative Services advertising and marketing department at American Fidelity Group. 

Gail is active in the Edmond community. She currently serves as president of the Rotary Club of Edmond and is a long-standing member of the board of directions for the Fine Arts Institute. She actively participates as a member of the Edmond Chamber of Commerce steering committee for Leadership Edmond and serves as an advisor to the marketing committee for A Chance to Change Foundation. Gail is a graduate of Leadership Edmond Class XX. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Oklahoma State University.

Henry Dolive
Team

Shawnee, Okla., native Henry Dolive holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma. He has worked as a reporter and editor at the Shawnee News-Star, a city editor at the Ada Evening News and managing editor at both the Seminole Producer and Ardmore Daily Ardmoreite. Henry was also an editor at The Oklahoman for 15 years. He now freelances while working part-time at the Neighborhood Alliance of Central Oklahoma.

 

Susan Grossman
Team

Susan Grossman is a communications professional with a wide range of experiences, both nationally and internationally, beginning as a journalist covering everything from crime to sports. She also has served as managing editor of Oklahoma’s largest weekly newspaper, and as a marketing and public relations specialist for the University of Oklahoma. Currently, Susan works as a development officer, successfully raising money for a nonprofit organization serving three counties in central Oklahoma. Her particular areas of expertise are in publication development and strategic planning. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in Letters from the University of Oklahoma and is actively involved in alumni and professional organizations.
